Fresh Hope

Mommie’s Time
Calling all Mom’s! This is a great time to let your kids play, as you fellowship with other mom’s. They meet at Fariview Park, 9:30-10:30 AM every Wednesday morning. Bring a friend along.

Join Dave Wilson at Martha Hartman’s home, Saturday, 8/1, 10:00-NOON, as he leads a study. Men and women are welcome to attend.
Youth Event- They will be gathering at Portland’s Waterfront Park, Saturday, 8/1, 10:00 AM for the Red Bull Flugtag event. Join them. RSVP Evan, so he knows who is planning to attend.

Accessory Exchange
This is the perfect opportunity for you to come get rid of your “stuff” and enjoy fellowship and snacks with other women doing the same thing. Also, you can gain some new treasures from others. So bring your accessories (jewelry, purses, belts, hats, scarves etc). Exchange your unwanted items for something useful to you, Friday, 8/7, 6:30 PM. Sign up at Event Table.
Bridal Shower for Hail Hesson
Join us at The Chapel, Monday, 8/10, 7:00 PM, as we celebrate Hali’s upcoming wedding. She is registered at Bed, Bath & Beyond, Crate & Barrel and Anthropologie. There is also a group gift you can participate in. See Marissa Rice to give towards that.

The Cookbooks have arrived, so pick your’s up, if you pre-ordered, or buy your’s today. Make your checks out to The Chapel- with Cookbook in the memo line. If you want the Holiday one, you can get the set for 16.00 or 10.00 each. Also time to get your Holiday recipes turned in. Pick up your Recipe Sheet at the Information Booth.
Vision Fund Fundraising
Restorante Di PompelloDon’t forget that by eating at Restorante Di Pompello, in beautiful Downtown Troutdale, you will be getting rewards for our building fund. The church will receive 10% for Lunch & Dinner and 15% for Breakfast! Make sure you ask your server to sign your receipt to validate your reward. Then turn your signed receipts in to the Church Office or drop in the collection jar in the lobby. Invite someone to go to out with you after church!
Can and Bottle Drive
Bring your soda cans and bottles to the church, they will be cashed in and the monies applied to our Vision Fund.
Serving Opportunities
Levite Team
If you would like to be part of our team of folks who help with tearing down and re-setting the building, please sign up at the Event Table. We are looking for a team leader for Setup and for minor Maintenance.
Ushers Needed
Would you like to join the team to welcome our visitors, collect the offering and help with needs that might come up? This is a team for men and women. Questions or to volunteer, talk to Wayne Buckelew.
Heavenly Grounds Coffee Cart Workers Needed
Would you like to learn how to make flavored coffees and specialty drinks? Join our Barista team, we need cashiers too, so talk to Kayla Brown for more info.
Nursery Hosts
We need people to be in the Nursery on Sunday mornings, to help the parents who go in there to quiet their baby, feed them or change them. You must attend Safe Leaders/Safe Kids to be part of the Wee Lambs team.
Family Affair Potluck
Our next 5th Sunday Family Affair Potluck is August 30th. A BBQ would be great for this time of year. I thought we could change things up for the BBQ. We will be having hamburgers, hot dogs, and a couple of sides. The food will be purchased prior to the 5th Sunday Family Affair. We are asking families to donate $5.00 and individuals $3.00 at the time of serving. A family is defined as two adults with their children who live at home.
Since this is a Family Affair games would be nice for Toddlers and the CKC kids. Please contact Eve Kaiser if you would like to help with the games or even take charge of the games.
Please be sure to sign up at the Event Table, so we make sure we have enough food.
